..including details like how to get there from Fremont Bart, what's the ideal time to reach there, documents to carry,is the courtesy copy enough or do we need to take the original ?

Also what do they look for on your drivers licence...is it just for the sake of an ID or address verification. I still have my old address on there although i informed the DMV about my new address.

From Bart, get off at the Montgomery station. the INS office is a 5-10min walk from there. Detailed directions are on the INS website.

Take the following
1. Courtesy copy (or original) of approval
2. AP
3. EAD
4. I94
5. PP
6. Driver's License
7. 2 ADIT style photos

The DL is just to confirm Identity. Go to the Sansome street enterance. That is for appt's. The washington st enterance has a long line and is for walk-in's. After entering go to 2nd floor room 200. After you enter, turn right and go to room 200B. There is door with a slot in it. Put your I485 approval receipt in the slot and pick a seat from where you can see counter 19. This counter is on the left side of room 200B aginst the wall. they will call your name at this counter. After they call your name, provide all the documents and you will have to sign and FP in two places on the form. Your passport is stamped and you are done.

I went there at 8am when they open. I was out by 9:15. Good luck. hope this helps.
