My Son informed that he has got letter from HLS saying my case is approved.

Now what happen? Will case go to NVC? And then NVC contact Mumbai consulate?

Any form to fill at this stage? Any thing I need to do? Any thing my Son need to do?

I am very unknowledgeable in all these steps. Please take some time and outline and educate me on what my steps are now on?

Looks like your's is a family sponsored case. The process
for this category is by and large the same as an employment
category, with few differences.

One difference I can think of is the Affidavit of Support. It should
be Form I-864 which your son would need to fill. Other than
this you should be obtaining the PCCs for yourself in India.
You would need two of them, one from the Passport Office and
the other from the police authority in the place where you live.

My knowledge is based on the employment category immigrant
visas, so look for other posts clarifying some of the points.

Once the NVC creates the file it would send out the fee bill for
Immigrant Visa issue. Once this payment is made the file is
sent to the Consulate and from that time you can expect the
interview in 2 months time.
