If one plans to change jobs, before leaving the old company,

what are the important documents that has to be collected from old employer?

Copies of I140 approval, labor (or atleast the job description and job code), keep old pay stubs...

But I would say, hang in there for some more time.
 
No probs in job change

I would say if you have passed 180 days .. go ahead and change jobs. It would be worse if you leave the old employer after getting your GC since GC is for future job.
 
1. Experience letter (number of years worked etc.)
2. Copy of LC, 140
3. Original 485 receipt

If you are planning to change your job, better to change it before than after 485 approval. AC21 is not very clear on how it applies post GC!
