Hi there,

Many of you may be aware of Immigration Voice and their efforts to campaign for improvements in immigration legislation and fair processing times for greencard applicants. I wanted to ask you to consider joining their current efforts to campaign for 2008 Administration fixes. I know that each one of you who reads this thread is most probably struggling in this backlog with the rest of us. My husband and I now in our 5th year of waiting. And there will be longer to wait. If we can collectively act, we can try and appease this heart-breaking situation for the thousands out there. If we go about our business as usual, it will be business as usual and nothing will change. I know I can't wait anymore, I have reached breaking point. I am guilty of being a silent reader on these forums for quite some time, I have come to these web sites and taken answers and relief from the goodwill of the fellow immigrants and Rajiv's organization and I am not sure if I have ever given back. If you would like to join me on a united front to ask for fair processing times and improvements to the current immigration policies please take some time today or this evening to read about the campaign and how you can sign a template letter (or personalize yourself) and send it off to the President. It is a simple and peaceful campaign. One copy to the president and one copy to Immigration Voice. The deadline is February 9th, under a week today. Please make a note to do this and stand with your community. 5 minutes of your time could save you a number of years. It is worth the thought and the hope. Thank you for reading and my best to everyone. www.immigrationvoice.org click on "read more" next to the title: [NEW] Massive IV campaign for Administrative fixes.

Just want to keep this thread in the view of readers for the next 3 days leading up to the deadline, thank you.

Please stand up and be counted folks!

what is IV doing for CP

H4waitingforever,

Please let us know what USCIS is doing for people on CP queue?

Is there any provision to ask for EAD to CP applicants on the agenda? Is there a safety net for us incase if the employer closes down and if not, is IV taking care of this?

Or IV only for applicants on 485 queue?

Let us know this and we would particpate in the campaign.

Regards

willwin

Modify letter accordingly

Please send the letter and add one line asking for EAD and AC21 facilities for CP applicants as they have being also waiting in the queue with 485 filers. I have done the same thing and please don't forget to create a thread about this on Immigration Voice's web site so that everybody would be aware about this. To ask for something ,we need to take initiatives now.

I did this just now. I guess i am a last minute person. Friends : take a second to print this and please do.

But, you are a 485 filer! And, if you are a IV campaigner, please give us reply for questions regarding CP cases.

O, do you just want CP guys to send letters that would only benefit 485 filers?

Good point

Hi Willwin,

Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention and mine--I am going to join desi2007 to ask to make this a standard part of the letter, need to get confirmation that IV will fight for this too, which I am positive they will. My husband and I are also going through the consulate route and I am quite annoyed with myself for not looking at it this way--seeing as I am one to complain about losing permission to work. I am going go back to IV and ask again for some clarification on this. Please come over and see what their responses are. I feel like there is great momentum in our campaign and I hope this will mean movement for everyone. Thanks for pointing this out.

Please check out the latest
