I have filed for GC with company AAA (cleared labour) and was in I-140. For some reason, I left that company and joined with a new company (BBB) last year, who is NOW not willing to do GC due to current labour market conditions.

Different company (CCC) is willing to sponsor my GC, if I do
H1B transfer and join them at I-140 stage. Is this legal?
If this GC fails for some reason Will I have any problems on any new GC attempts in the future?

I have applied for GC as a Programmer Analyst with company (AAA). Can I apply for GC with the new company (CCC) as a different category, as ERP specialist?

This is legal only if you left the company AAA after 180 days from the date of filling of I-485 and your job description at CCC is same as mentioned in your labor, if you have not filed I-485 then your labor & I140 is of no use.
There is not any problem in starting a new GC in future.

Thanks for making me clear that I-140 & LC is of no use without I 485.

I have left company AAA. I was in I-140 stage, when I left the company and joined BBB. And my current empolyer is BBB.


I am planning to do GC through CCC.


Should my job description at CCC be same as mentioned in my labor from AAA or labour from CCC?

Nop, GC is for future job and you could have multiple future job at different time, so it shouldn't be problem, and for Lc you are the only benificary, real applicant is your comapny (same way I-140 also your company's application, only I-485 is your application)
