I applied for I-485 along with my wife. since she is a dependant, she does not have an SSN. But, do i need to take a tax id number for her and apply or should i just leave the SSN and Tax id numbers columns blank?

My wife had a tax id...so we filled it. But if you apply now for tax id, it will take atleast one month or so to get to know the number.
I don\'t think it is essential...but make sure with your lawyer.
 
SSN or TIN , Not necessary

Yes same comment as Gaga, you don\'t need SSN or TIN,my freind applied last week, his lawyer said not needed.
