Hi. I need help on when can I file my citizenship. Here's a quick timetable of all my trips.

Date You Left the US | Date You Returned to US | Total Days out of US

01/05/2008 | 03/15/2008 | 64
05/28/2008 | 10/14/2008 | 139
11/04/2008 | 01/25/2009 | 82
03/17/2009 | 03/15/2010 | 363 (got a re-entry permit)
03/27/2010 | 09/26/2010 | 183
02/11/2011 | 06/22/2011 | 131
09/23/2012 | 10/07/2012 | 14
04/07/2013 | 04/24/2013 | 17

Am I also eligible for 4 years 1 day? If so, when would be the date I can apply for citizenship? I'm a GC holder since 1998 and had it renewed. My GC will expire on 2018.

I got a trip for more that 6mos but less than a year. How can I prove that I didn't break my continuous residence if my reason for all my trips is for me to finish my studies? Plus, I don't have any income to file for tax. But my immediate family are here in US except for my dad and they are now US citizens from being a GC holder. I never had any job/employed while abroad. All I need is to finish my school over there since school here in US is quite expensive. How will my situation applies on filing for US citizenship?

Please help me on this guys. Thanks for your time.

You can apply with the 4 years + 1 day rule on 9/27/2014 (4 years and 1 day after the 183-day trip which ended on 9/26/2010).

Or you can apply now and try to present enough evidence to convince the interviewer not to deny you for those trips of 363 and 183 days.

You may need to establish for the required statutory period after you broke the continuous residence. So you can apply on 9/27/2014. Make sure before you apply, you MUST physically present in the U.S. for thirty months within the five year period.

What evidences can I present? I'm only a student at that time. My immediate family are here and I didn't apply for any job abroad. So what kind of proof can I show to them? If ever I fail the interview, can I still apply again on 9/27/2014? Will my application get delayed because of that?
