Experts,

My attorney messed up my 7th year extension, which was filed along with normal extension (for pending 6 months of 6 year). CIS approved my extension only upto MAR'05 (when 6 yr completing) and I am expecting interview around APR/MAY 2005 timeframe.

So if I file a new 7th year extension now and somehow at the time of interview call I didn't get my 7th yr approval, would that be OK if I show them the recipt notice of 7th year extension?

Any advice greatly appreciate.

6th yr completing on - 03/31/2005
140 AD - 09/16/04
NVC case CREATED - 10/19/04
Fee Bill generated - 11/08/04
wating for fee bill now !

Go ahead and file the 7th year extension-even if it is pending when you go for CP, you don't need to worry in my opinion. Just carry the Receipt you receive from CIS. I would not spend the extra money for premium (if your company is willing then do it)

Thanks Intezar. Just now my attorney responded as below, but I doubt on that

"As for your visa interview, the attorney recommends that you have the approval notice for the 7th year extension, not just a receipt for filing."

I am  .

Prosix, Just file the h1 7th year asap. Wait until you're date is confirmed-if you're nervous then get it processed premium by paying extra $1000. You will have the approval in 10-15 days.

Intezar,

Thanks again. It is really good advice to file regular , then convert into premium, if interview date goes beyond 31-mar-05.

Would you like to make a rough guess on my interview date based on dates provided in my first post?

Thanks.
