Can one have two GC processing going on simultaneously?
The situation is that I am on H1 currently. I had started my Gc processing a year back and am still in the labor approval stage. I got married this year and my husband is in the last stage. He filed for his 485 two years back. Now I got added onto his application as a dependent. I got my EAD card a few motnhs back. Now my confusion is..can I still continue on my H1 status and simultaneously continue my GC processing (which is still at labor stage)?
When do I have to forfiet my GC processing (which I filed before marriage)? Is it at the time I use my EAD and am no longer on H1 status?
Please ...can someone advice me on this?
 
Yes, u can have it, many ppl do have this situation. not to worry about it. once ur 485 is approved rest of pettition would automatically canceled.
one thing to remember most duplicate pettition shared to have interview. but not necessary

You should check with a lawyer, but I believe you can continue both for now. One is employment based (EB) and the other one is marriage based -- there is no conflict here regarding who you intend to work for after you get the EB greencard -- you could still be married to your current spouse and be working for your current employer.
 
No worries. You are still in H-1 so long as it's still valid, if you wish to change job, you can use EAD, then you lose the H-1 status. I'm in the same situation and used my H-1 all the way until it expired.
