Please Help-Work from home on H1 or EAD?

I currently work in Chicago on H1. I have an EAD which I am not using. Due to personal reasons I will be moving to Indiana for a few months. My company has agreed to let me work from my residence in Indiana for the duration of my stay. Can I still use my H1 or is it better to use my EAD? What will be the impact on my I-485 if I telecommute from a different state?
