Any help would be appreciated with this situation. I am asking this for my gf. They entered the county on a tourist visa and have been overstaying it for a while. Recently, the mother got her permanent residence status from an ex us citizen through domestic abuse. My gf is over 21. How can her mother apply for her visa if she is not in her home country but out of status in the US? Her home country is a distant memory and she does not want to go back (obviously I don't want her to either). Me marrying her is not an option.
