Hi..I am trying to fill up the forms and i have few questions if anyone can answer.

I-485:
Part 1: Current USCIS status expires on?

I am on F-1 and OPT expired on August 9th 2005 and applied for H-I and waiting for approval.So what should I write? What my H-1 approval comes after I send my forms to INS?

Part2: which one i should mark? a,b,c,......?

I-130
#14: Date authorized to stay will expire or expired as on I-94 form?...mine sayd D/S as i am F-1

#22: Which Uscis office for AOS in USA? Also do i have to include my city and foriegn country consulate?

Please help..Thank you

First of all, if you are filing for your GC then why are you applying for H1 ?
You can write your current status as F1 since your H1 has not came in yet. It is not going to matter much.
I am not sure what D/S means.
On #22, you have to write the name of your local DO. Read the sentance carefully it says OR will apply for a visa abroad at the American consular post in. Since you are in US, you leave it blank.
 
Hi amishah..thak you for your help.I applied for H-1 four months back and I got married to USC last month ..and still waiting for approval.The reason i didn't want to write F-1 is becos my OPT expired last month..but i am not out of status..but was worried if USCIS would understand the situation..instead looking in to application as i am out of status.

In I-485: part2
which one i should mark? is it (b)?

In I-131: date intended to travel? any date?

I don't know much about H1 but if it is not approved yet and your OPT has expired already then wht is your status at this moment?
You have to mark a on part 2 of I485.
If your are not planning to travel then just write down any date.
 
GC - H1B married to USC

Hi there,

I got married to USC in June'05 and have filed I-130,485,131,765 to chicago lockbox.

My wife is currently in detroit,MI - Service center is Nebraska.

While, I'm currently working in Atlanta,GA. She is going to move here in few days.

Question - I-130 contains her address of detroit ? Her parents still live at that place, so there is no problem of correspondence on that addr ?
But where would i get my green card interview if I-130 has detroit addr, while 485 has my atlanta address ?

Guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you amishah..I applied for H-1 before my OPT expied and I have receipt notice..so I am in process of H-1b application..that is the reason i am not out of status..I have time until Oct 2nd to stay in the country legally.In meanwhile i am applying for GC thru marriage.

Will I be safe once i get the receipt notice for GC applications..i mean i will be in status to stay in USA till my process is done?

Okey, then you should write H1-B in process. But I am not sure. Someone else may can help you on this.
Yes once you will receive your receipt for your GC, you will be in Adjustment of Status, and you can stay here legally.

You will get your interview at the city which you have written to answer Q22 of form I130. I would suggest to ask your wife to do a change of address on the I130.
 
Hi everyone..I was wondering if any one can tell me how i need to arrange forms..do I have to separate all forms by fateners or clips?..How many cover letters i need to include?Can someone with experience tell me how you all did this..thank you
