Please help with possible finger print retake issue

I am U.S citizenship and have applied for I-130 and I-485 for my wife by the end of last year. We recently received finger print notice and my wife went to get the finger print done last week. however she was told that the finger print image was not very clear and she may have to retake the finger print. We called FBI biometrics department today and was told the finger print was processed by FBI and the result was sent back to USCIS already. but they didn't answer if the result was OK. I wonder if sending back the result to USCIS by FBI means she passed the finger print already or FBI always sends back the result(good or bad) to USCIS and USCIS will send the finger print retake notice for the applicants with bad result. I want to know how it works. thanks for advice.

Have you received a notice from USCIS for a retake of fingerprints?

I would think unless USCIS notifies you about retaking the fingerprint, you may not have to take it. Quite honestly, I have never bother contacting the FBI bio dept ever to get a status ... perhaps others here have some info for you!
