My I-140 is approved and recently filed I-485 on 07/02/2007.
I have got my canadian permenant resident card in July 2006. To maintain my canadian PR card, I have to be in canada for atleast 2 years in 5 years period. Since July 2006, I am in US. I have only time till June 2009. If I don't go by that then my canadian PR will be voided.
After I get my I-485 receipt, I am planning to apply for consular processing and shift in Canada to maintain my status. My employer is ready to maintain my consular processing application even if, I move to Canada.
So, is it possible to do so? Not working for the employer in Us, staying and working in Canada. Whenever I get my number for consular interview in India, what chance will I have? Should one be working for the same employer till date of Interview?
Also, in my situation, what should I do. Remain in AOS and go to Canada or switch to CP and go to Canada?
Can someone please explain the same. I do appreciate in advance for your kind advice.
