Please Help!! Stamping in Chennai

Hi,
I came to US on H4 and then got my H1 and I have been working from 2 1/2 years.
I changed to new company recently.
My old company W2's shows 4K salary less than the one specified on LCA.
Will it pose any problems while I go to stamping in Chennai?

It did not pose any problems for my wife, who got her stamping done from US Embassy, Delhi.
About Chennai, I have heard they are very notorious.
