Please Help: spin off and Employee Verification Letter

Hi, Folks:

Part of my company will be spinned off as an
independent compamy. My job function still remains the
same. Does it matter if EVL is issued by the new
spinned off company instead of parent company?

On the other hand, does EVL have to be issued AFTER
RFE is received? Is it OK if we obtain an EVL BEFORE
RFE is issued by CSC?

I see no problem as long as it is the same job description,same salary or higher.As regards the EVL,it would be best to send one after the RFE as you are given ample time to send the RFE anyway. CIS issues RFE on EVL if their copy is more than one year old and they just want to know if you're with the same employer.
 
An interesting situation. The legal way to go around this would be to file AC21 with the updated 140 now, so that if/when you get a RFE you won't have a problem explaining change in the name of the company, if the company name has changed etc.
