Could anybody please help me to understand the USCIS email: “We reopened this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER on September 19, 2009, and are now reviewing our earlier decision? We also mailed you a notice describing the next steps in the process.”
My wife had applied for COS (I-539) to change her Visa from H1B to H4 and last month it got approved. However, her H1B visa was valid till end of Sep 2009. Now she has new I-94 and she already resigned from the work a day before H4 approval.
Now, she got this email and I don’t know what to conclude about this. Does this mean that the employer has contacted USCIS to terminate the H1B and hence USCIS send this email or USCIS made a mistake in approving her previous H1B visa and now they reopened it to correct it?
Please provide me your expert opinions. I am really confused and worried.
Thank you all.
