Please help, ? regarding biometrics

Hi all, I am new to this forum and have a question regarding my LPR application. I submitted my application to the Nebraska center and received a Notice for a Biometric appointment. Does this mean they already started looking at the application or is this routine with all applications?

It is routine. It is required of almost all LPR applicants, and is why you paid an extra $70 over the $325 processing fee.
