Hello

Please Help!!
I got married previous month in India. Before coming to the United States, my wife has got her PCC done from Mumbai Regional Passport office (in the third week of December 2001) when she was a resident of Mumbai, India. Her passport is stamped with PCC for USA and she has also received PCC certificate issued by the Regional Passport office.
She has now come to the USA and is residing with me. Now, since she is residing in the US, should she get her PCC done again from an Indian Consulate in the US or is the previous PCC issued by the Regional Passport Office in Mumbai valid for Consular Processing of our Green Card? we are expecting our interview date in few months for our Consular Processing at Mumbai Consulate.

Please advise.

Thanks for you help.
JK

PCC, I believe is valid for 6 months

but you might wanna double check with the consulate.

Also I remmeber hearing that People who had their passports made with in last year do not need PCC as Indian Passport office is doing this step before issuing a passport (in other words, you having a passport is a valid proof that your PCC is clean)

But both these statements NEED CONFIRMATION

No Title

I forgot to mention in my initial posting that my wives passport was not done within the last one year.
