HELP!! (applying for citizenship based on marriage)

Could someone please answer my question as I am trying to get my N-400 in before the 30th? As for the supporting documentation, I am sending in tax returns (last three years), tax transcripts (last three years) and bank statements. I have bank statements from 2006, 2005, and only a few from this year (2007) As for 2004, I only have a few, but the first page pf the 2004 statements (the one with both me and my husbands name, is missing). Is this okay? Do you really have to have all the first pages of the last three years of bank statements??

Also, I only need to put down where I worked the last three years right? Since my application is based on my 3 year marriage.

thanx!

They're not going to be very concerend at all about your bank statements. Remember you already did that for your green card interview (if you did that process). I just brought one from the year before and one from the current year. If yours is marriage based, bascially anything showing you still live together (doesn't have to be a lot like with the GC interview).

If you are work based and just want to show you still live in the US, just bring your home or rental agreement. You have nothing to worry about with not having 2004. They really don't spend a lot of time on those anyways...

I did not do my n400 based on marriage so I am not even sure if all those bank/tax docs are needed to be sent with the appl. My suggestion is send what you have by Saturday by certified mail. The important point is that the n400 form be signed and dated, that you are eligible, and that the correct check is sent with the form. They will ask you for more evidence later on.

Also, it is plausible that if you have statements from 1 year, 2 years after the wedding - which imply that you were back then and still are living with your spouse and sharing a bank account - you are likely to have already been living with you r spouse and sharing a bank account just after the wedding.
It is not legal advice, it is just common sense.

I sent a total of three (3) bank statements (just the first page with both our names on it), one from each of the last three years (I applied based on marriage). Also sent tax returns, car registration, and that's about it.

At the interview, I gave the DO health insurance statement, three newer bank statements, car insurance with both our names, and tax transcripts for the last three years. (I'm starting to think that 3 is my lucky number.)

Take a deep breath and don't panic. :)

Good luck.
