I am in a unique situation and need your urgent advice!
I have completed all my coursework for my Masters degree in Computer Science. My school requires that I give a Comprehensive Exam for 7 subjects in order to be awarded the Masters Degree. Since the exam was the last requirement I had to apply for my OPT before I give the exam in May. My EAD cards became effective in June 2005 and in Valid till June 2006.
I was unable to clear 1 of the subject because of which I can not be granted the degree. The exam in not until May 2006. Because the number of available H1 in the 20,000 quota for FY 2006 is fast declining, my company filed for my H1 today.
I have submitted all my transcripts for my Masters and have submitted a letter from the school’s International Students office that I have completed the required coursework for my Masters.
Will USCIS raise a query that my Masters degree is not completed?
How do I defend the query?
