Hello All,
I am trying to gather all the forms that are required to apply for immigrating to canada. I have been a bit confused by a few things and would appreciate anyone helping me out with those.

What kind of documentation can I submit to show my proficiency in English ??

I had already gotten fingerprints done from FBI about a year and a half ago, how long are they valid for ?? Do I need to get them done again ?? Do I need to get them done for my spouse also ??

How long does the whole process take through Buffalo office ??

Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Check the answers below
overal you have to get 72 plus points .If you have Masters degree
(18 years of education 15 yrs of BS + 3 yrs of Masters or
16 yrs of BS + 2 yrs of MS)

if you are married and from you spouse u can gain from 5 -8(i am not sure abt max points) points . Otherwise u have to do addtional courses french .You can gain depending on you language fluency.Rememebr you have to submit your testing skills like TOEFL.

Copy of the TOEFL is a plus . Otherwise evaluate your degree with authorized instution in US, that will really helps. I did it .Since i cam here on H1-visa i dont have toefl score.

Finger prints are valid for six months only . after it goes to INS it will valid for a long time.

If you are from US now a days it is taking between 12-18 months.
that also depends on you documentation .also if u r interview is waived

Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply

Thanks much sivak for your reply to the post. I wanted to get some further clarification. I went to school here in the US and have been working since last 4 years now. I did take TOEFL but it was a long time ago, and I beleive that I still have the score from that test.

1- Could I submit that TOEFL score with my app. that I took few years ago ??

What other documents do people usually submit to show their proficiency in English ??
I took classes for French in college, does that help ??
