Please help! My i-485 got denied

I got a notification from INS (California Service Center) saying My I-485 got denied on Dec. 21, 2004. I have applied motion to reopen and received the “receipt notice” dated January 13, 2005.

How long it takes to reopen the case? My current EAD will expire in few months? Am I eligible to work after applying to reopen? I also filed for new EAD and they sent a “receipt notice” already.

Please help!

Sorry to hear, but dont worry you can file for MTR, did you get a letter or email?Can you give more details of your case, which service center and date of filing and I140???

Do you have a lawyer? If so, talk to your lawyer about ead and eligible to work.

I am very sorry to hear that. Could you please tell us why your 485 was denied so we can figure and give you an answer? I am not sure if Motion to open will allow you to continue working after your ead is expired. Talk to your lawyer immediately.
