Hi,
I filed a petition for my parent who is already in US. I recd. the fingerprinting notice and we are done with that. Now yesterday I recd. a letter from INS saying that they have transferred I-130 and I-485 to California Service Center to speed up the processing. Does anyone know why they transferred this to California? I live in Minneapolis/St. Paul and my service center is Nebraska. I had originally mailed all the papers to Chicago Lockbox. I am not sure if this is a mistake and is there something I should be doing?
I would really appreciate any responses I get.

Thanks for your help.

This is normal process for some, depending on their location. A number of parents cases were transferred to CSC and even got their case approved without interview. However, there were others like my Mother's case which got transferred to the DO (NJ) and went thro the interview process. I think Nebraska cases in general get transferred to CSC for further processing.

For more info, please see this notice from USCIS:

I am in the same boat.

Some people here say it is may be better that the case it was transfered to California. You might get approved without the interview. But I will believe it if it happens to my case. I had the last LUD back in third week of September after several daily LUD's and since then nothing else. It has passed two months after bio's and almost three months since i filed the aplications. I think they are falling behind again.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
