Hi,

my wife and I landed in Canada last week.
However our son(3 years old) is in China and we don't think we can get him out by Oct. so he won't be able to land before the visa expires.(Oct.)
Should we notify CIC on this situation or just let his visa expire then
sponsor him later after we move to Canada? (We are students in the US)

Any comments would be highly appreciated!

If he can't use his visa before expires you don't have to do anything. You lose the processing fee. Once you are in Canada, then you will have to sponsor him.
