Hello...
-Currently I have expired F1 (finished my BA in May 07) with OPT (expiring in July 1, 08)
Me and my fiancee planning to get married by the end of March, in Vegas
As far as I did research:
She is filling I-130 (we are filling from NYC)
I am filling I-485 along with her petition....and also EAD petition all together?
Waiting times for EAD is 3 months in NYC....I 485 is 6-7months.......
Just for some absurd reason i get denied I-485...Do i become out of status and have to depart immediately?
Also, when i am waiting for my EAD, can i keep working on my OPT?
Also, while I am waiting for EAD and I-485 and my OPT expires....whats exactly would be my status? DO i have to leave?
What to expect when filling I485 and EAD and I-130...do we get interview?
Is it bad thing to get married in VEGAS?
Also, for now, since we are saving for an apt., we would be living separetely(I live with relative, she does with her parents) while awaiting for the I-485, is that jepardizing the I-485?
PLEASE Help me to figure this out...am I way off or what...i am sure there are some newbies like me trying to figure this step by step process...from marriage point to green card..THANKS A BUNCH
