Hello All,
My 140 has been recently approved. I have chosen CP. I have a situation. My wife has come to US on B1. Before her B1 has expired her company applied for her extension. She has the recipt of applying for extension. Before she heard anything about her extension, we have gone to India for our marriage. She has come back on H4. Ever since then she is on H4. Would her stay after her B1 expiration (even though she has applied for B-1 extension before her B1 expiration date) be any detering factor in our CP in India ?

Well not sure how the consulate will interprit the situation, but you can have all the receipts with you to prove sufficient evidence in case anything comes up, but the main thing is she is never out of status at any point in time right??? if she is never out of status then you should not worry too much.

Your wife is absolutely safe. She appears to maintain her status at all times. By the way, the consulates don\'t care about it, as long as the applicant has not been out of status for more than 6 months.
 
I agree with Yooper

If she was not out of status than she is fine. In any case dependents are not minutely scrutinized :)
