Friends,
I submitted my 485 pettion lastweek . My priroty date is april 2002 since it is labour subsituation , they filed 140 directly , my lawyer told me my PD will be april 2002 , not the date the actual labour applied. So while processing they go according to Receipt date or pririoty date. if receipt date (RD ) . I will be lucky otherwise i dont know how many days it will take?

could you please elobrate about the 485 processing

RD

Your application will be considered according to the RD. PD is useful only for the eligibility of filing. If PD is not current, you can not file 485. Once it is filed, INS goes by RD, so now forget PD (as long as it remains current in the monthly visa bulletin) and start lookign at the RD.
