Since I plan to travel around May 10th to India, I was filling out application for PIO card for all of my family.
I got stumped in Q13 and Q14.
In Q13, I presume just giving my Indian passport details is enough.
as i don't know my parents passport numbers.
In Q14, well.. I just didn't understand the sentence formation..
"Whether the applicant of either of his/her parents or any of his/her grandparents or great grandparents was born and was permanent resident in territories falling in present day India, Pakistan and Banglades, as on the date of the notification of the Scheme, i.e. 30.3.1999, if so, the following details may be indicated:
Name and Relation Proof of Residence etc. Date & Place of Birth Nationality Held Passport details (previous and present)
Can someone clarify ?
Also, any idea how long does it take to get the PIO card in NY ?
I plan to submit by mail. is it faster to do it in person (leaving couple of days for fedex delay) ?
