Hi
I am currently in US on H4. I filed my H1 from an employer here while staying in US on H4. Since the stay was not decided at that time so i have given my case as H1-Visa to be issued abroad rather than giving H4 to H1 status transfer. Now I m still in US and got my H1 approval. In the current case I need to get it stamped from India.
Please let me know if still I can convert my H4 to H1 status here only without going back and getting stamped by any way out. I am ready to bear the expenses for the change of status here only if it is possible.
Please do help me if you came across with such cases where at the time of filing you were not sure that you will be staying here till the time your approval comes and choose as visa to be issued abroad rather than giving status transfer option.
