I am at the last stage of I-485. Now INS is asking me for more documents - copy of the original I-94 form when I first entered US as a student. When I went back home before graduation in 2000 for my then sick father, the custom officer took my original I-94 and gave me a new one when I came back in August 2000(which has the same number). I had the original I-94 copied, but now I've lost the copy.
Does anyone have a similar experience? Is there a way to remedy this at all? What should I tell the INS?
