I will really appreciate your input. My H1B visa expires Oct31, 2000. I-140 was approved end of
August2000. I sent my I-485 on Sept10, 2000 for AOS at Vermont. I have not received a receipt for that.
Also my checks have not been cashed so I have no way of telling if they received my application or not.
However today I received a letter from National Visa Service indicating that my paper work has been
sent to my home country for consular processing. My worry is that I do not understand if they are
responding to my I-485, or is it a follow up of I140. I am not sure what is
the best way to handle this situation- do I continue waiting for I-485 or should I start consular
processing.
