Please Help. I am losing sleep

Folks,

I have been in the N-400 process since 12/2006. Since then I have not seen any response other than that I was stuck in name check. Just today, I received my 2nd FP notice. I know I should get excited and celebrate that at least they haven't forgotten about me but I just cant.

Here is the situation:

1- I need to relocate to a new city with a new job (yes bad times for the economy)
2- I have a house that I will rent out

I have been reading the forum and searching for the questions with respect to similar situations and I am not sure what to make of it. I have waited so long that I dont wanna now request a transfer of file to a new location and start over again.

One side of me says to not do anything and just show up for the interview with the georgia DL . Other side says that I should do the right thing and do AR11 for Arizona even though I will still have a house in Atlanta.

Can you please advise as I am so troubled right now. This has been such a wait and I cant do this anymore.

Very easy solution for you

MadDog,

I have some good news for you. If you think, your mail won't get lost and somebody can definitely take care of your mail at your house in Atlanta, there is absolutely without a doubt no reason to do a change of address (AR-11). You're fine. Dude, just chill out and relax. That's it? That was an easy fix. Come up with a difficult & more comlicated/challenging question. I am serious. Why I say that is coz for the last couple of years since I applied for my citizenship from Atlanta DO, I have been traveling like crazy. First I was in Alabama for about a year, then moved to Boston for 6 months. I rented apts at both locations but still kept my lease up & running here in Atlanta. I strongly believed that changing address & requesting files to be moved would be the mistake of my life. The point I am trying to make is, just think of Atlanta house as your perm home base & live in AZ as if that is a temporary housing for you until you are completely satisfied with your new job & that's when you will relocate.......PERIOD.
Congrats on your 2nd FP, that's a good news to tell u the truth. After you take your biometrics, you will have your IL in 2 weeks time.
You're almost done, just few steps away from your final line.
All the best & sleep tight from now onwards.

and to add to Atlanta_Brother's reply .... they are giving same day oath for anyone who clears the interview before 2 pm here in Atlanta .. so you could possibly be done with USCIS the same day(Interview + Oath same day).

Thanks guys. I feel much better now. My gut was saying the same thing but I needed some confirmation and someone to tell me that it is OK. I dont think I can have my mail to my house as I am renting it this week. But I can have it delivered to one of my buddies in Atlanta. Do you think that it will work?

BTW..Boston is an awesome place. Lived there for few years.

You will get a citizenship soon. why worry? You are still a US permanent resident. You will be fine. It is not end of the world. just relax. try to get sleep. don't be stressful. :)

Receiving your 2nd FP is a good news that your case is active. It triggers uscis to issue you an interview letter so you will get your interview soon.

if you don't hear from them or haven't receive it, try to set up an INFOPASS appointment and find out what the status is and ask why it takes too long. Also try to contact senator or house of representative about your status.
