I know of someone that this happened to. Their lawyer said it should be ok to continue to work since INS has approved the EAD. Just made the person fillout a form for replacement EAD. The 765 form has a checkbox for lost EAD.
Now, if you are going to change employers they will want to see the EAD. But, if you are staying with the same employer I don\'t think it will be a problem. Again, this is based on the advice of one lawyer. I cannot say what INS will say about this.
