Please help H1 --> F-2

Hi!

My wife is currentrly on an H1-B and I am on my OPT on a F-1 visa. My wife wants to quit her job and mvoe to the city where I am working. In this regard I had the following questions:

1. Can her change of status from H1-B to F-2 be denied on the grounds that I am working on OPT?

2. How long can she keep on working after filing the change of status application? In case her application is denied will her H1-B be cancelled (if she keeps on working all the while till her application is adjudicated upon)?

Her change from H1 to F2 should not be denied only based on your opt. It could be denied if you have ever applied for GC or you may have not enough fund to support her F2 status.
Before she gets F2, she is still H1 status, she can work until F2 is approved. Applying F2 will not make her h1 be denied.
