Dear Friends,

My wife has is a physical therapist for Michigan state and has cleared NPTE, TOEFL, credentials evaluation, licensure and all other formalities.

She is on H-4 and we applied for her H1-B through a consulting company for this year [to start in oct 2007].She did not get H-1 B due to lotterry system and the employer said that her H-1B is rejected in lottery and provided all the details.

now we are stuck and in limbo.

Is there any alternative for her to work knowing that we spent last 1 year just waiting for this year H-1B to come and clearing all exams and evaluations.

Reaaly really appreciate your help and inputs on it.

Thanks much
TJ

I dont think the INS had annouced the lottery results yet, they are going to annouce today or 2marow. check with the employer whether they had rececived the email from INS

I am really surprised that u already got information about the lottery....i think its better you make sure from the consultant...ask him to provide proof of receipt from USCIS, stating that the case was actually filed ( USCIS has stated that all cases filed properly will be given a receipt).....ask him to also forward the email if any about being rejected in the lottery.

Unfortunately I dont think there are other alrternatives available. :(

If the company has an office in the home country there may be alternatives like the L1 or B1. But since u have applied through a consultancy firm...i really doubt if that's the case.

I have applied for a H1B too and haven't heard anything yet from USCIS. Can you tell me how USCIS intimated you? Was it through email? Did they provide you with any receipt number?

Thanks
