Please help, GC holder planning to get married

Hello,
   I have found similar discussions before but I have a specific question. My girlfriend is an Irish citizen and currently living in Ireland. Does this (i.e. her citizenship) make any difference while applying I-130 (I am assuming that\'s the first thing to do to get her GC, please correct me if I am wrong). I am an INDIAN citizen and a green card holder for past 1 year. Also does anybody know about a timeframe for the whole process. I appreciate your time and any help you may provide.

i believe Ireland may qualify for the visa lottery.

You should look into the visa lottery. I believe Ireland MAY qualify as long as that is her country of birth. England does not qualify.

I know of several people who have succesfully gotten a GC through the lottery.
