Please help ( Education in Labor vs. 140/485.)

Hi Friends,

I'm here to seek your advice and help.

Currently my Labor is pending at Atlanta DOL and hoping that it would get approved soon ( Probably this month end ).

Yesterday I got a copy of 750A from my Lawyer. ( I requested the copy to find out what is mentioned there regarding education and college degree ).

It is written in para. 14 like this:

College ||||| College Degree Required

4 ||||| "Bachelor of Science or foreign equi."

Major Field of Study.
Computer Science, Info. Systems Mgmtm,
Engineering, or a closely related field.


I've a Bachelor of science, But this is a three year degree not four and again the is not in Computer Science OR Info. Systems Mgmt OR Engineering.

Basically this is Bachelor of Science with major in Mathematics.

I also attended my Masters in Maths, But just completed one year not the second year of Master.

And I also did my computer diploma from NIIT in India ( GNIIT ).

Just want to know from you guys that if this will cause any problem in my 140.

Will really appreciate your help.

if you know someone closely who evulate Foriegner Education personaly its good to save some money and get idea. else not problem .

take a look before LC requirement and than, Take ur resume + Educaion certf + work-exp letters and go to any near Foriegner education evulation service (prefer if INS approved but not necessary). atleast INS reconized would be fine too. here things work

if u have less study year they would use work exp formula (1:3)years INS standard. it mean if one year less study it would be coveded 3 yrs exp. or 2 yrs exp(they will tell u don't worry). many ppl who studied from South Asia country their degree counted as three/two year and then work exp is counted...and almost all ppl are set qualified.... so don't need to worry much..... just prepare everything before this is smart thing.

use google searh engine and find using 'foriegner education evulation' and if u personaly go near any university/edu center they also can help u to find... but be smart spend $$ and get what is best in ur interest... don't try to be extra smart and to go to meet who have big offices and claim to have INS blah blah approved.... and have perfect ppl .... you won't get quick what u are looking for.... but would spend a a lot money... go to medium semi prof ppl + reconized by INS... ... and ppl ..... I believe u can understand rest of thing trying to explain u ..... .
