Please help "drive without insurance" citation

Hello,

I went through the traffic citations that I received before. It appears that I received a "drive without insurance" citation. What happened was that my insurance had elapsed due to my ignorance. After the citation, I renewed the insurance and went to court and finally paid around $100 fine. How serious is this kind of citation? What would be the impact on my citizenship application? Please help. I am very worried.

This is a very minor issue and, by itself, it'll have zero impact on your N-400 process.
However, it is a good idea to have the ticket disposition documentation with you by the time of the interview.

There are two schools of thoughts regarding whether such tickets (given that it was a non-DUI ticket and the fine was under $500) even need to be disclosed in the N-400 application.

And it is not clear whether $500 threshold is meant for maximum possible fine or actually paid fine.

If you do not see any problem, you should report everything so that later you cabn honestly brag
that "I am very honest, for example, I reported 10 events in crminal history when I applied
for citizenship even I new that can jeoparidize my stay in thsi country but honest is best policy as it
turned out"


If you see a problem, then decide what you do foryouself.
