i am currently on a h1b valid until 2008. my husband is in india. is there a way i can initiate his h4 papers from here through my company? a consultant that my husband has been going to has advised him that it's easier to apply for h4 from here and get the approval notice. then he'd have to go to the US consulate in india and get his visa stamped. can someone please shed light on this? if you can point me to a website or something that has such info, i'd go further from there. please help.
