guys,

I applied for 485 in 8/01, and accepted a new job with another employer in May 02. My LC, 140 and 485 were from NJ, NJ and Vermont respectively, and the new employer is in San Francisco. Should I send INS any notice of change of employer now? Should I advise them of my new employer when I go to get my passport stamped? or should I just quietly stamp my passport and carry on? What can I do if my employer revokes my 140?

Please help me guys, I\'m scared!

Dnot worry. You are somewhat in safe harbour if you cross 180 days

As per my attorney if you cross 180 days you are safe. You donot have to inform INS about your employer change unless you get an RFE. Even the service cente change should not matter. Better to keep the same attorney. And I was told by one attorney after 180 days the previous employer also cannot revoke your 140. Good luck. I have crossed 180 days but looking for a good employer to settle down. Enough of consulting!!

dont worry

you are safe. as far as regulation is concerned they said that you may notify INS while changing employer. Key word is "may", implies that it is not mandatory. I have read and heard through several attornies on this. Just keep quiet. In case you get RFE or interview get the employer letter from current employer at that time. The letter should say that it meets all the conditions of labor and i-140.
Remember one thing, never volunteer information unless you are required to do so by law. In this case, neither law nor regulation say so.

Just don\'t worry and be happy.
