Dear Friends Please Help:
Received two faxes in response to my to 485 status
enquiry

Received First FAX today(10/31/02) @ 8.30 AM(Pacific)
Message: Case is currently with an officer awaiting
for ABJUDICATION

Received Second FAX today(10/31/02) @ 10.30
AM(Pacific)
Message: An officer will be assigned to ADJUDICATE
this case

Dictionary Meanings for:
ABJUDICATION:
Rejection by judicial sentence

ADJUDICATE:
* To hear and settle (a case) by judicial procedure.
* To study and settle (a dispute or conflict).

Please help me in understanding/resolving these
ambiguous messages. Tried to reach California Service
Center by phone no luck after trying for hour and
half!

ok, they spelt it wrong the first time, followed it up with the second. INS uses the word "adjudicate" often. This is the first time, even if by mistake, that I have heard the INS use the word "abjudication".

should be fine. keep trying the phone line. try during opening or closing hrs for a better chance.

may be second fax was to correct the 1st one. INS is totaly weired and difficult to understand. Read DOM's approval .
 
Typo mistake

Hi All,
Thanks for responding! had a talk with INS officer on phone as everyone expected it's typo mistake, seems my case is assigned to an officer hopefully I should receive something in coming weeks. Once agains thanks for your response!
