Currently a doctoral student at State University of New York, Health sciences. My research is of National importance.
3 papers published in good journals (recently): 2 as first author
2 papers from India: 1 first author (good journals)
In-press: 3 papers: 1 first author (good journals): very recent
Under review: 2 papers: both first author
Overall 5 published papers, 5 in different form of communication.
Posters presented: 10: 9 in U.S.
Talk presented: 4: 1 US, 3 outside
Reviewer for a reputed journal in the field
Very low citation
13 letters:
4 from U.K and Germany
9 from U.S.
Out of 13, 8 are independent letters
All the 13 letters are quite strong and well written and from top University people including 2 army doctors.

National interest: i assume you have
Intrinsic merit: i assume you have
imapct: publications good; independent letters good; citations..low chance...depends on officer if understanding ...u can cover up with letters otherwise it can be issue.
abilities: prove by letters that you are best to acheive the national interest...reviewer ...can help...as that is essentially given to experts...talks can help too.....get letters from people who invited for talk....explaining that since u were best they did so!!
points to explain is why you want exemption from labor; you are phD student means F1 VISA they can argue why can't your goals be caheived by H1B and why you need GC..explain based on real abstacles..........
