Please do not confuse other people - traffic tickets

I've read many posts where people will give an advise to others not knowing what they are talking about. Unless you had some expirience please do not do that, we are all streassed as it is... :)
After reading some advises when people would say that you would need to bring proof of paying traffic tikets, i carefully read form n-659 : Interview Document Check list. It says
"Note: Unless a traffic incident was alcohol or drug related or serious personal injury to another person occured, you DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION for traffic fines and incidents that did not involve an actual arrest if the only penalty was a fine less than $500 and/or points on your driver license"
It does not mean that you do need to disclose it, but anyway: do not overstress yourself...
Hope you all good luck!

Tristan,

Thank you for the note and I get your point.

But I think when some folks susggest taking all "related" documents to your case, this is only being on the safe side.
For instance during my interview, I did not take a ton of documents and the officer asked me for more documents. I let him know that since I had submitted everything during the application, I didnt bring much. Luckily I had my recent tax transcripts and all other required originals and the officer was nice enough to make do with what I had. But he also made a comment like "would you rather continue your case or want it closed soon?". So, that kind of hit me that I should have been better prepared.

So, all in all
1. You dont know what kind of an officer you may get for an interview?
2. You dont know what kind of documents they would like to see?
3. You dont really know their internal process for the Interview and approval/denial.

I would suggest take all related documents for your Interview and also make copies.
My interview officer kept the original of the tax transcript of my 2009 tax returns.

There is no harm in taking all related documents, as you would much rather do that, than not take, be asked for and then have your case prolonged.
This is just my opinion, based on my experience.

Thanks!

Mostly people with interview experience give suggestions or recommendations. The experience can vary greatly because there is no consistency between different IOs. One applicant may not be asked all this additional information, but another may be asked and his/her case will be prolonged even though there was no requirement in n-659 to bring any additional forms.

My advice would be similar to that of many others - to bring as many documents as possible but to not volunteer any of them until specifically asked. Regardless of what N-659 says.
