Myself and my wife received second FP notice to appear on April 19th. What happens if we go early like within March. Will they take my FP. Second question is whether doing early FP is better than specified date.

Third question is I have one kind of last name on Drivers license and SSN card (eg. Rao, Rama) and other on passport, all visa stamps (eg. Choudary, Rama Rao), I-485, I-140 notices and EADs, tax papers (Choudary, Rama). This problem encountered as I have two last names. Rama is my given name. One like caste title and other like family title. What happens with this traumatic situation. When I go for FP, generally I show passport and EAD as my IDs.

My details

I-140 approved 08/2002
I-485 RD 03/2003 AD ???
3 EADs, 3 APs
First FP 03/10/2003
Second FP noticed for 04/19/2005

No harm in trying for early FP. But check your FP code - if it includes biometrics (see other threads to identify codes), then make sure they take biometrics as well when they do early FP. Because they don't have you on "todays candidates" list, they may miss taking biometrics if your notice had asked for it.

Regarding your name, it sounds like some documents have "Rao" and others are missing it right? Then you can say First=Rama Middle=Rao Last=Choudary. That may work as middle names are sort of optional. But of course, how well this fits your specific situation, you need to decide yourself. By and large, if your visa/GC/passport names match, then you should probably be OK. Drivers license is not officially typed into your GC application, and it's used only as an auxillary identifiaction document (and most of the time, you can use passport when asked for id, instead of DL).
