Hello!
I am a French Citizen and came here as a visitor on October the 31st, 2003. My fiance live here and we used to just visit each other. By the time I came and stayed here over the three month, he was just a permanent resident. We got a child and he applied for his US citizen and got it in April 2006. Then, we got married at the county clerk to be legally married ( we were in our culture already married but had to wait for his US citizenship to be approved). We want to make the paperworks so that I can be a legal resident here but I am scared of being deported no matter the fact that he is a US citizen and that we have a child.
A friend of my husband has a situation like ours, except that the wife is from Thailand. Since he was a US citizen already They filed for her to stay here two years ago and even got a lawyer. They lost their case and now she has to live in December.
Does anybody know about cases like ours?
Please, hlep!
