Please answer this issue regarding use of EAD

Hi,

My PD became current recently in June visa bulletin. My I-140 is approved. I still have 3 yrs of H1B remaining (already approved). I have applied for my wife's EAD (who's currently on H4) and I-485 along with my I-485. If she plans to use her EAD, once it is approved, what is her status going to be? Is it necessary for me to use my EAD, if she wants to use hers?

Once she start using EAD, then her status will be AOS. You do not need to EAD and you continue on H1B.
