I am an aupair. I take care 4 kids, but I still have a lot of free time. Actually, I knew that the aupair can't work another job. However my host family, they are so kind. They told me that they want me use my time for making money, but my host family and me concern about rules, taxs, and anything else. So I would like to know the J1-aupair can work another job except aupair or not, if the host family they are ok. Moreover, my SSN card is shown that "Valid for Work Only with DHS Authorization"
