H1B 6 YRS WILL EXPIRE IN FEB 2003

I have applied for Canadian Immigration when I have not started my US Green Card processing. I have received canadian Permanent Residence almost a year ago. I have not get it stamped. It will be expiring in another 20 days if I dont get it stamped.

Would you guys suggest me to get it stamped? If I dont get it stamped, I will get 1200 USD back from Canadian Immigration for not using Visa (Right of Landing Fee). I am not much concerned about 1200 USD.

Would it be safe if I get it stamped? Then I will have Canadian PR status. I am planning to go to Detroit Port of Entry, if have to. Are there any problems while coming back at Detroit Port of Entry? Will I get a new I-94? (I am not sure now, it used to be no new I-94).
Would my new Canadian PR or new I-94 create any problem for my NSC Green Card Processing.

Your help is appreciated.

Thank You.

I have done the same thing as you but a lot earlier. I have applied Canadian immigration as well as US. I go canadian 2 years back, entered canada via detroit and got it stamped on passport. why would you want to take canadian immi when you are closer to getting your us immi approved? Also even if you were to take canadian PR, you will have to surrender or cancel u're canadian PR at the time or after your us immi is approved.
Also your I-94 does not change as long as you drive to windsor, canada through detroit. Make sure you have a valid I-94 attached in your passport. Also do you have valid visa stamping?
do you have advance parole?

Make sure you have all valid stuff and you will not have any problems.
