When a H1B Indian guy gets married to a Canadian Citizen, his wife can sponsor him for PR. He can also apply for a PR on his own (as a professional). Which route is better?

If he is applying on his own he can include his parents as well, whereas he cannot include them if his wife sponsors him. Is this true?

Your thoughts are appreciated.

i think u can sponsor u r parents after u get a PR and not before that. But u need to add the names of ur family members in Application B of the independant applicant forms. & U will be required to show sufficient funds that u can support ur parents

If u marry a Canadian Citizen, then ur wife can sponsor under "Family Class Immigration" better check this option too

Good luck

How long would it usually take for the parent\'s PR to get approved ? (parents are indian citizens)
